In an infinite and expanding universe is it realistic to believe that we are the one and only?

Consider for a moment that some of our greatest minds in history believed in aliens. Add to that a multitude of sightings, presidential quotes, and obvious cover-ups. Suddenly, we realize that we are living in the future and the realm of Science-Fiction is becoming reality. The 2012 movement is searching for the truth - Aliens exist.

Carl Sagan said to try and imagine all of the grains of sand on Earth; every single one. Meaning the sand on every beach, in every desert and under every ocean. This means at depth too - not just at the surface. Now imagine that in our galaxy alone there is a star to match each and every grain of sand here on Earth. Our sun is just one star.

Amazingly it doesn't end there... Sagan took this analogy one step further... He said to imagine as many galaxies in the universe as we have stars in our galaxy. This is to say a separate galaxy to match each star in our system. A galaxy which has its own seemingly infinitely abundant amount of stars and planetary systems, many of which are just like ours...!!!!!... Now that is relativity.
